HIGH-RESOLUTION DIGITAL CAPTURE AND PROOFING:

In order to make a reproduction of your painting or other work of art, I need to create a very large digital photograph or "capture" of it first. This digital file is then used to create a proof that will match your original painting.

Photography and proofing takes approximately one week. Printing takes an additional week. You will need to leave your artwork at the studio. For those concerned about the safety of their art, I have a security system, a locked art storage room and a safe. The studio also has central air-conditioning and is located in a safe area.

There are many different ways I can photograph your art depending on what you like. Please read the Process page on this website for a detailed information of this topic. I don't use a cookie-cutter approach to my digital captures, there are many different ways that your work can be photographed, and I will help you determine this before we begin.

If your original painting is not available, I may be able to work with professionally created digital files, 4x5 transparencies, slides or prints. The quality of your final prints will be affected by the quality of these originals however. Call for scanning prices and a quote to work this way. These prices are for original works of art dropped off at the studio.

If you are a digital artist I won't charge your for digital capture, only for the time spent creating a proof that you are happy with. You are welcome to bring a disk and work together with me. I'll bill you for my time in this situation.

If you can't bring your work to the studio, please call about the possibility of having your work photographed at your home, gallery or studio.

If you don't see the reproduction size you want in the price list below, figure out the square inches of your work and compare it to the list. I'll give you a quote that falls in between, if the size of the capture you want falls in between these prices.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call and I'll do what I can to help you out.

These fees are based not on the size of the original painting, but rather on the size of the reproduction desired. I can digitally photograph paintings of any size.

The chart below lists common print sizes and their equivalent in square inches along with the total price to photograph the painting and create a proof of it
